Following the search on TFG’s ‘humble abode,’ Ohio Representative Gym Jordan claimed 14 agents at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have come forward to Republican investigators. His claim has sparked well deserved doubt and ridicule since Gym’s claim may be a rehash of a 2019 Tom Fitton right-wing, wing-nut conspiracy theory.
“Fourteen FBI agents have come to our office as whistleblowers, and they are good people,” Jordan told Gowdy on Sunday. “There are lots of good people in the FBI. It’s the top that is the problem. Some of these good agents are coming to us, telling us what is baloney, what’s going on—the political nature now of the Justice Department, God bless them for doing it.”
If, and that’s a big IF given the source of this claim, actual whistleblowers exist, Gym should have no issue testifying under oath that 14 FBI agents came to him as he claimed on cable news. The whistleblowers should file whistleblower protection, which they should do as federal employees. There is nothing stopping the FBI agent from coming forward to current House Judiciary Committee Chair Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY).
