At a special Punchline Comedy Club event last night at the Chase Center in San Francisco, comedian Dave Chappelle brought Elon Musk to the stage.
“Ladies and gentlemen, make some noise for the richest man in the world,” Chappelle tells the audience.
What started as a mix of cheers and jeers became an overwhelming chorus of “boo!” that lasted several minutes.
“You weren’t expecting this, were you?” Musk says to Chappelle.
Chappelle responds: “It sounds like some of those people you fired are in the audience.”
Later in the video, Chappelle says: “All these people that are booing, I’m just pointing out the obvious — they have terrible seats in the stadium.”
A video of the exchange was posted to Twitter, but the owner of the video appeared to have their account suspended.
