Wisconsin Senate GOP Candidate Says Nursing Home Residents Should Not Vote

Eric Hovde, the Trump-endorsed candidate running for Senate against Tammy Baldwin in Wisconsin, voiced an opinion that nursing home residents are too close to death to vote.

Hovde made the statements during a Fox News interview when he was asked about his thoughts about TFG’s claims of a “stollen election.”

Hovde wouldn’t say the 2020 election was stolen, but thought it was troublesome that so many nursing home residents voted.

“We had nursing homes—where the sheriff of Racine investigated—where you had 100 percent voting in nursing homes,” he said.

Here he is in another interview, speaking as an “expert” on nursing home residents.

Hovde has also expressed “thoughts” on Black voters.
