A new NBC poll shows that Robert Kennedy Jr.’s candidacy hurts Trump more than Biden at the ballot box.
The poll shows that head-to-head, Trump leads by two points. But with third party candidates, it’s President Biden who comes out ahead.
In a five-way race between Trump, Biden, Kennedy, independent Cornel West and Green Party candidate Jill Stein, Biden takes the 2-point lead. Biden has about 39 percent support to Trump’s 37 percent, while Kennedy takes about 13 percent of the vote.
Of the Biden supporters in a head-to-head match-up, about 7 percent switched to Kennedy. For Trump supporters, that proportion shot up to 15 percent.
A new ad campaign is launched in Wisconsin and Michigan to highlight RFK Jr’s stance/non-stance on abortion.
Reproductive Freedom for All Freedom Fund put out the ad Monday in Michigan and Wisconsin — two battleground states — looking to portray Kennedy as indecisive and potentially threatening to a woman’s right to choose.
The ad will target young voters in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and Madison, Wisconsin, the home of two major public universities.
Kennedy recently qualified for Michigan’s ballot, in addition to nearly a dozen other states. He is aiming to get on Wisconsin’s as a candidate by its petition deadline in early August.
