Federal Government Makes Historic Movement To Reclassify Marijuana

This will impact decades of archaic policymaking

Today, the United States Drug Enforcement Administration has announced that it will be looking to reclassify marijuana from a schedule I drug to a schedule III drug, marking one of the most important policy changes in recent history. The new DEA proposal will move marijuana from its current classification as a schedule 1 drug, alongside dangerous drugs like heroin, to a schedule III drug, alongside anabolic steroids.
