Joe Rogan, who has stated he is not a Trump supporter nor a Republican, will be interviewing Trump some time on Friday in Austin, Texas, for the Joe Rogan Experience, the nation’s top-ranked podcast which mainly targets young men.
However, Rogan has often spoken against Democrats, disparaged criticism toward Trump, and vilified internet platforms and the media for “suppressing” negative stories on Harris or Hunter Biden (who?).
In 2022, Rogan said he would vote for Ron DeSantis, adding he had turned down many opportunities to have Trump on his program, and called Trump “an existential threat to democracy itself.”
Earlier this year he said Robert Kennedy Jr. was the only candidate who made sense to him.
On his podcast, Rogan has also entertained theories that the insurrection on the Capitol was provoked by “intelligence agencies,” smoked pot with Elon Musk, and interviewed Alex Jones and Gavin McInnes, co-founder of the Proud Boys.
Hmmm.
Let’s not forget all of the pandemic conspiracies the podcaster entertained. In his interview with Robert Malone, the scientist made claims that getting vaccinated puts people who already have had COVID-19 at higher risk.
Rogan took ivermectin, even when he contracted Covid.
Following Trump’s ass-kicking in the debate against Kamala Harris in September, Rogan said that Trump was “funny like a comedian” but that Kamala was better prepared for the debate.
Rogan later stated on the podcast that a Harris/Walz win might result in a “clamp down” on free speech online.
The Wall Street Journal reports the episode is expected to be released, at the earliest, on October 26.
