Over a matter of days, FOTUS tRump did away with several Kennedy Center board members appointed by Joe Biden, installed Rick Grenell as acting president of the Kennedy Center, and with a board completely filled by tRump appointees became the Chairman of the Board on Wednesday.
In effect, tRump is taking over to get rid of the “woke” in entertainment culture, and stacked with all things MAGA as Americans and the world will be subject to tRump’s whims and taste in entertainment.
Some of the board’s new members include “God Bless the USA” singer and ardent Trump supporter Lee Greenwood, White House chief of staff Susie Wiles, second lady Usha Vance and senior adviser Dan Scavino, among others.
The Kennedy Center is a cultural institution in Washington that is known for its signature Kennedy Center Honors performances and is home to the National Symphony Orchestra and the Washington National Opera.
Leaving her role as artistic adviser at large to the Kennedy Center, award-winning opera singer and actress Renée Fleming praised David Rubenstein, the former chairman replaced by tRump. She said Rubenstein’s leadership was “just one of the many ways he has contributed to America’s cultural and historic heritage. He is the greatest patriot I know.”
Deborah Rutter was fired as the former president of the Kennedy Center, who was overseeing the Center’s operations in presenting theater, dance, music, awards, and the affiliated, National Symphony Orchestra and Washington National Opera.
Ben Folds also announced he was leaving as artistic adviser to the National Symphony Orchestra, “given developments at the Kennedy Center.”
Shonda Rhimes, the renowned television writer and producer, also resigned from the board after serving as the board’s treasurer.
