Good morning, and welcome to Coffee Talk, NewsViewers.
Bring your oatmeal, muffins, avocado toast, cold leftover pizza – whatever is your breakfast vibe – and join us for what we do best here at NewsViews – free chat. For me, breakfast comes long after the coffee pot is drained, and is often a bowl of plain Greek yogurt and fruit. Light is best for me in the mornings, so my tummy is ready to get to my day.
If you remember, Coffee Talk is a free forum, a place to go off topic with your shareables – whether it’s funny or sad, lighthearted or serious as a heart attack.
But in case your mind is blank and your brain is yet uncaffeinated, your hostess (me) presents you with a topic to discuss amongst yourselves.
TODAY’S TOPIC: What do you collect?
I’m not specifically asking what collectables you admire and keep, I’m referring to what clutters up your crib that you cannot let go (when you know you should)? Is it clothes, shoes, books, photos, files?
This week I had half of my house measured for new floor coverings, and let me tell you this: You don’t realize how much “stuff” you collect until you have to clean out a room to lay new flooring. The majority of the work will be done in bedrooms and their closets, and my work will consist of purging the clutter in those closets and rooms before the flooring is installed.
The thought does not bring me joy. Therefore I’m planning on refreshing my memory of the KonMarie method of decluttering, all while looking for joy. “If it brings you happiness keep it; if it doesn’t, throw it away.”
Right………so, wish me luck, and happy tidy-ings! I’m already verklempt.
Again, what collects in your house that would be best donated to charity or to a landfill?
Grab your mug and let’s get chatting, as it’s going to be a busy, busy day, the first of many – at least in my neck of the woods.
Enjoy your free chat!
