Neil Young demands Spotify yank his music from their platform

“They can have [Joe] Rogan or Young. Not both.”

In a recently deleted letter to both the music streaming giant Spotify and his management team, musician Neil Young demanded that Spotify remove his music from their platform because it allows the likes of Joe Rogan and his guests to spread misinformation (lies) about COVID-19 and the vaccines.

“I am doing this because Spotify is spreading fake information about vaccines – potentially causing death to those who believe the disinformation being spread by them,” he wrote. “Please act on this immediately today and keep me informed of the time schedule.”

“I want you to let Spotify know immediately TODAY that I want all my music off their platform,” he continued. “They can have [Joe] Rogan or Young. Not both.”

Rolling Stone:

Young joins 270 doctors, physicians, and science educators who signed an open letter asking Spotify to stop spreading Rogan’s baseless claims.

Young is no stranger to pulling his music off Spotify. He removed his music off of the platform and other music streaming services in 2015, stating he felt their audio quality was too low. His music reappeared on those platforms the following year.
