For those who cannot grasp the ‘bigly concept, per capita,’ it’s the amount of whatever…in this case, COVID-19 deaths and homicide rates that occured per 100K people, not the complete, overall total. News Viewers get this because they’re highly intelligent but the average mentally challenged, MAGAt does not.

You can hover any state and view the death rate from COVID-19 per 100K residents. For example, Vermont had the lowest death rate per capita while Mississippi had the highest. Mississippi also had the highest homicide rate per capita than any other US state.

Payroll growth accelerated by 428,000 in April, more than expected as jobs picture stays strong
- Nonfarm payrolls grew by 428,000 for April, a bit above the Dow Jones estimate of 400,000 and identical to March.
- The unemployment rate held at 3.6% after being expected to nudge lower to 3.5%.
- Leisure and hospitality led job gains followed by manufacturing and transportation and warehousing.
- Wages rose 0.3% and were up 5.5% from a year ago, about the same as March.

FDA Limits Authorized Use of J&J’s Covid-19 Vaccine
Agency makes the change after confirming nine deaths tied to a clotting condition among those who received the one-dose shot
The Food and Drug Administration limited the use of the Covid-19 vaccine from Johnson & Johnson after reviewing the risk of life-threatening blood clots.
The agency said Thursday that the J&J shot’s authorization was now only for adults for whom other shots aren’t available or medically appropriate, or who won’t take another vaccine.
The FDA said it was making the move after confirming a total of 60 cases, including nine deaths, of the clotting condition known as thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome, or TTS, among the millions of people who got the J&J shot.

Gov. DeSantis reportedly banned from NY Museum of Jewish Heritage
Ahead of June’s Jewish Leadership Conference, where Gov. Ron DeSantis will reportedly be a speaker, the New York Museum of Jewish Heritage has banned the governor from its grounds. The ban was first announced in an editorial written for the Wall Street Journal by two of the organizers of the event.

One math textbook was approved by the state after a review process showed pictures portrayed Blacks primarily as athletes.
Another, under the same vetting process, was flagged because it put an emphasis on racism being “embedded in American society.”
Those are some of the examples included in nearly 6,000 pages of records released by the Florida Department of Education that show how state reviewers determined whether 132 math textbooks were fit for Florida classrooms.
