Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer is making the state the first to ban flavored vape products. The ban will prohibit online and retail sales of the flavored nicotine products, which target young people with candy-like or minty flavors. The ban will not include unflavored or tobacco flavored vape products.
Through Michigan’s administrative rules, not an executive order, the Michigan Health and Human Services department will impose the ruling and will be enacted in a few weeks when the administrative process is completed.
