A new WaPo-ABC News poll shows Trump’s numbers tanking as many more Americans anticipate a recession within the next year. His trade war with China has also caused many Americans to fear a rise in prices on numerous goods. Six in 10 Americans now expect a recession to come within the next year.
“Trump’s approval rating among voting-age Americans stands at 38 percent, down from 44 percent in June but similar to 39 percent in April, with 56 percent now saying they disapprove of his performance in office. Among registered voters, 40 percent say they approve of Trump, while 55 percent disapprove.”
Of course, Trump spoke out against the latest polls calling it “fixed,” “fake,” and even “corrupt.”
From August 22 through September 9, Real Clear Politics shows Trump’s approval rating average at 43.0% while 53.9% disapprove. Trump has never had over %50 approval since taking office; something no other president has managed to accomplish.
