Chinese President Xi Jinping cautioned over the weekend that any effort to split with China will result in “bodies smashed and bones ground to powder” amid ongoing unrest in Hong Kong.
The Chinese leader made the warning while visiting Nepal, the Hong Kong Free Press reported. “Anyone who attempts to split any region from China will perish, with their bodies smashed and bones ground to powder,” Xi reportedly said.
“Any external forces that support the splitting of China can only be regarded as delusional by the Chinese people,” he added.
