DATELINE: ANCHORAGE ALASKA
An Anchorage man called his cellphone after he accidentally dropped and lost it in a parking lot.
A woman answered the phone and agreed to give it back, but she later texted the man to say it would cost him $200. The woman told the man she had a gun in case he tried anything.
He called the police, who then met the man at “Polar Bear Park” on Pine Street.
After the man was able to prove the phone was his, police ended up arresting 19-year-old Rosenda Davis on charges of second-degree theft and extortion. Police recovered the man’s phone and gave it back to him.
She’s now at the Anchorage jail. She’s single.
