GOP Chairperson Ronna Romney McDaniel tested at Michigan hospital for Coronavirus

Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel is being tested for COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, according to a GOP spokesperson.

She went to a Michigan hospital Friday night because she was experiencing flu-like symptoms and a fever, RNC Communications Director Michael Ahrens said in a statement. Tests for flu and Streptococcus came back negative, he said.

McDaniel was then tested for COVID-19. Results have not come back yet, Ahrens said.’
