In an interview that aired on Fox News on Sunday, Attorney General Bill Barr spewed a partisan attack on the Democratic Party, claiming the left believes in “tearing down the system” and pursues absolute victory as “a substitute for religion.”
Barr also said he was worried about mail-in voting possibly leading to a contested election in November.
During the interview with Mark Levin, Barr accused Democrats of pulling away from classic liberal values and are now aiming at destroying institutions the country was built on.
“They’re not interested in compromise, they’re not interested in dialectic exchange of views. They’re interested in total victory,” Barr said of the left. “It’s a secular religion. It’s a substitute for a religion.”
