The lead pastors of Catch the Fire Raleigh-Durham told The Charlotte Observer on Friday that Daniel Chalmers — a pastor at Love Win Ministries, which he founded — recently stepped down from his staff position there and “expressed grief and horror” over the incident.

Alicia Beverly accused Chalmers of peeing on her on a Delta flight from Las Vegas to Detroit on October 13. A police report cited by The Winston-Salem Journal said Beverly told authorities that she “woke up feeling something warm on her body” and saw Chalmers standing over while she was in her seat.

“I jump up and I seen his private area out and I screamed and that woke everybody up,” Beverly told Fox 2 Detroit on October 14. “By that time I actually looked at him and I see him shake himself off and I’m like this man just peed on me! I looked and there was a puddle of pee in the seats!”

The preacher originally denied peeing on her, but then confessed he had taken prescribed medication and was drinking.
