Administration officials reported that VP Mike Pence will be staying in Washington instead of vacationing at Sanibel Island in Florida this week.
Pence argued to Senators on Tuesday that they should stick behind Trump’s efforts to overturn results in various states through unproven allegations of widespread voter fraud. Pence gave a presentation on the actions the Trump legal team plans to file, and brought focus to the senate fight in Georgia.
Pence and his boss Trump have largely remained in their bunkers, Pence turning down an offer to speak at a news conference in Philadelphia on election fraud. The invitation by some of Trump’s outside advisers was declined by Marc Short, Pence’s chief of staff, who said it would be inappropriate for Pence to attend.
