Less than one week until Christmas, folks. Although I have no clue what to make for dinner for two people on Christmas Eve, I did manage to decorate all the cookies I had previously baked and froze cookies and will get them ready to drop off to some folks and hubby’s family tomorrow. Next week, my mom and brother will get their stash.
I even went all Martha Stewart and did some fancy smancy decorating on my sugar cookies, (not a huge fan of sugar cookies,) ginger cookies, and my cucidati. But may favorite cookies that I made this year happen to be these delicious, Greek cookies called Melomakarona and Koulourakia. My husband requested peanut brittle and dark chocolate covered toffee so, I made that today. Tomorrow early AM, I will make pizzelles and biscotti and then DONE!
Thankfully, I really don’t eat a lot of sweets; otherwise, I would be as big as a house. I taste what I make and that’s pretty much it. I do like to dunk biscotti or koulourakia in my coffee, if either are around, but then I’m good to go. Actually, I get tired of making the stuff so I don’t eat it–
So, what’s all going on in your world? Besides baking, just counting down the days until the Orange Ass is out on his ass!
