The monkeypox outbreak is something “everybody should be concerned about,” U.S. President Joe Biden said on Sunday, adding that U.S. health officials are looking into possible treatments and vaccines.
“We’re working on it hard to figure out what we do,” Biden told reporters at an air base in South Korea before departing on Air Force One for Japan.

A former Precinct 4 Deputy Constable remains in Harris County jail Friday evening, facing felony allegations she used a stun gun, commonly known as a Taser, on her three minor children.
Xochitl Ortiz is no longer a deputy constable. She was fired when she was arrested earlier this week.
Her boys, ages 8, 11, and 12, are safe and living with their father.

In the too-close-to-call Republican Senate primary race in Pennsylvania, the aura of former President Donald Trump and his claims of election legitimacy, once again hang over the state.
A recount is basically assured as Mehmet Oz, who Mr. Trump endorsed, now holds a narrow lead over David McCormick with thousands of mail-in, absentee, military and provisional ballots left to count out of the million-plus that were cast.
