Liveblog - In Case You Missed It: October 01, 2022

With so much going on in our world, we sometimes miss important issues. Please feel free to share any headlines we may have missed or new developments providing they come from reliable and credible sources. We won’t accept any parroted, Russian propaganda from far-right ‘news’ sources unless you’re trying to point out that the far-right extremist in our country and elsewhere actually believe their own BS or Russian disinformation. Nor, will we except any parroted far-right BS regarding issues occurring here, at home. We also ask that you provide a link to your source so folks can read it if they want. Please do not make any claims that you cannot factually validate or verify.

January 6, Updates:

Shortly before midnight on July 21, police arrived at the home of a federal judge set to preside the next day over a plea hearing in Washington in a high-profile Jan. 6 prosecution.

In what law enforcement later described as a “swatting” incident, an unknown person had placed a call to an emergency services line pretending to be US District Judge Emmet Sullivan. The caller claimed a violent situation was unfolding at the judge’s home. Local police responded to the scene.

Meant to ‘Intimidate’

Acting Marshal Lamont Ruffin wrote judges in the July 22 email that his office believed whoever called in the swatting hoax may have been trying to “intimidate” Sullivan into postponing a plea hearing that day. Ruffin didn’t name the defendant, but court records show the only plea on Sullivan’s calendar at that time involved Anthime “Tim” Gionet, a far-right internet personality also known as “Baked Alaska.” Gionet, who live-streamed his entry into the US Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor offense and is scheduled to be sentenced in January.

Antonio Brown Exposes Himself to Hotel Guests at Swimming Pool in Leaked Video

Former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown has been shown sexually harassing a woman at a hotel pool in Abu Dhabi in May.

In leaked videos obtained by Rich Calder of the New York Post (warning: linked article contains nudity), Brown exposed himself to guests at the Armani Hotel Dubai earlier this year.

The footage shows Brown “shoving his bare buttocks into the face of a stunned woman” who was huddled near him at the edge of an outdoor swimming pool at the hotel.

In a separate video, Brown was leaning on the edge of the pool’s interior when he “grabs his penis, and briefly yanks it out of the water in the direction” of the same woman.

Transition from hell

While DONALD TRUMP was attempting to prevent then President-elect JOE BIDEN from ascending to office in the months after the election, his staff was determined to create headaches small and large for their eventual replacements.

Haberman reported that an employee of JOHN MCENTEE, who served as Trump’s director of the Presidential Personnel Office, stuffed copies of photos of HUNTER BIDEN into an air conditioning unit at the White House, breaking it.

Women across California should no longer be forced to pay a premium when purchasing toiletries and other products, under a bill signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom Tuesday outlawing the so-called “pink tax.”

Joined by members of the Legislative Women’s Caucus and his wife, Jennifer Seibel Newsom, the governor signed into law a package of bills intended to advance gender equity and protect the rights of women.

AB 1287, authored by Assemblymember Rebecca Bauer-Kahan, D-Orinda, prohibits companies from charging different prices for products based on the gender they’re marketed to — a practice referred to as the “pink tax.”
