Welcome to today’s Free Chat!
After several unusual days of 80+° temps in October, this is our transition day. By the weekend, highs in the low- to mid-50s are going to bring jeans and hoodies, along with apple recipes and the dreaded pumpkin spice fairy.
Today’s Topic
I’m having coffee this morning with my octogenarian mom — when she wakes up.
It’s been almost 14 months since she suffered a serious car accident, so now our visits are more extended. It involves a three-hour round trip to pick her up and take her back home, so we get to have quality coffee time for a few days together.
After coffee, we (actually, I) will be making a big pot of soup to send her home with.
Precious time, I wouldn’t give it up for anything.
If you could choose to have coffee with anyone this morning, who would it be?
Maybe it would be Barack Obama, like Jerry Seinfeld was lucky enough to enjoy in his Netflix show “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.” What a great episode that was.
