In a closed door meeting, Steve Scalise withdrew his name from the Speaker’s race; he just did not have the votes. At this moment, there is no clear candidate for the job.

OMG. Steve Scalise just dropped out of his bid to become Speaker, realizing that he does not have enough votes. Jim Jordan, who ran against him, had even FEWER votes. Now would be a great time for 5 Republicans to support Hakeem Jeffries so we can finally have a REAL Speaker!

He can now call himself David Duke without the votes.
