Detroit Synagogue President Found Stabbed to Death Outside of Her Home

On Saturday, Detroit synagogue board president, Samantha Woll, was found fatally stabbed to death outside of her home.

According to the Detroit News:

Detroit police were called to the 1300 block of Joliet Place regarding someone “lying on the ground unresponsive,” according to a news release.

Investigators found multiple stab wounds to the victim’s body and medics pronounced the victim dead on the scene.

Officers followed a trail of blood leading to the victim’s home, the location that investigators believe the homicide took place, police said. The motive for the killing was unknown, police said.

Woll had a long career in local politics and worked with several elected officials over the years, according to her LinkedIn page.

She recently served as the political director for Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel’s re-election campaign.
