Several arrested following Portland rallies.

Portland police arrested thirteen people in connection with competing rallies in Portland yesterday.

According to the Associated Press:

Police seized metal poles, bear spray and other weapons and closed bridges and streets to try to keep the rival groups apart. They were largely successful. Six minor injuries were reported.

“This was a dynamic event with demonstrators frequently moving from one part of the city to another,” Mayor Ted Wheeler said at an evening news conference.

Trump expressed his opinion yesterday morning hoping the mayor of Portland would do his job properly and once again hinting that his administration might label Antifa an ‘ORGANIZATION of TERROR.’

Leaders from the far right groups said they will continue to show up in Portland and other left coast cities “as long as Antifa remains active.”

Joe Biggs, a former InfoWars staffer and the organizer of Saturday’s right-wing demonstration, said the protest was a success. He also cited Trump’s tweet as evidence of just how successful his event was.

Who will be Trump' running mate?
