Trudeau, Macron, and Johnson discussing what appears to be Trump

Be Best, gentlemen!

“He was late because he takes a 40-minute press conference at the top,” Mr. Trudeau says to a small group that includes Mr. Macron and the British prime minister, Boris Johnson, among others. Mr. Trudeau does not mention Mr. Trump by name during the exchange, at which he appears to be discussing the day’s bilateral meetings.

“You just watch his team’s jaws drop to the floor,” Mr. Trudeau says at another point. Mr. Macron is also seen participating animatedly in the conversation, but his comments cannot be heard. Mr. Johnson is seen smiling. None of the world leaders seem to realize the conversation is being recorded.

The New York Times:

In the past, Trump’s made comments about how other countries view and simply laugh at us. Ironically, it’s because of Trump, other countries not only simply laugh at the US, they’re rolling on the floor laughing their asses off.

  • During his 2016 campaign, Trump would frequently claim, “The world is laughing at us,” as a jab at President Obama. World leaders loved President Obama. Trump? Not so much, if at all.
  • When withdrawing from the Paris Climate Deal, Trump stupidly said, “We don’t want other leaders and other countries laughing at us any more. And they won’t be. They won’t be.”
  • Laughter broke out at the United Nations General Assembly when Mr. Trump claimed his administration had “accomplished more than almost any administration in the history of our country.”  Trump vehemently denied the audience laughed at him. Instead, he claimed, “They weren’t laughing at me, they were laughing with me.”

Trump hasn’t commented nor tweeted about the video.

Wednesday, he meets with several other world leaders, including Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany. Trump will then hold a news conference before heading back to the United States where he gets laughed at on a daily basis.

Who will be Trump' running mate?
