Detroit Lions and Their Social Media Team Skewer Aaron Rodgers

Neither the Detroit Lions nor the Green Bay Packers are going to the NFL playoffs.

With nothing to play for but pride, and to keep the NFC’s most dominant team for the past three decades out of the playoffs, the Lions rallied for their eighth win in 10 games on Sunday to beat the Green Bay Packers 20-16. The Lions had completed a season sweep of the Packers.

Back in early November, when the Lions beat the Packers 15-9 at Ford Field to improve to 2-6, aging Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers said this: “We can’t lose a game like that against that team.”

The Lions remembered, and their social media team kept the receipts of Rodgers words of slight against the team that finished 9-8.

The Packers finished 8-9.

Feel free to discuss the playoff picture that won’t include Aaron Rodgers.
