Biden “running out” of patience with Bibi as Gaza war hits 100 days
President Biden and other senior U.S. officials are becoming increasingly frustrated with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his rejection of most of the administration’s recent requests related to the war in Gaza, four U.S. officials with direct knowledge of the issue told Axios.
Why it matters: Since the Oct. 7 Hamas attack 100 days ago, Biden has given Israel his full backing, with unprecedented military and diplomatic support, even while taking a political hit from part of his base in an election year. That support has largely continued publicly, but behind the scenes, there are growing signs that Biden is losing his patience, the U.S. officials said.
- “The situation sucks and we are stuck. The president’s patience is running out,” one U.S. official told Axios.
- “At every juncture, Netanyahu has given Biden the finger,” Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.), who has been in close contact with U.S. officials about the war, told Axios. “They are pleading with the Netanyahu coalition, but getting slapped in the face over and over again.”

With COVID-19 rising this winter, it’s getting more complicated to discern whether you are infected.
Dr. Elizabeth Hudson, regional chief of infectious diseases at Kaiser Permanente Southern California, said she has noticed it’s sometimes taking longer after the onset of symptoms for rapid tests to return a positive result.
It used to be that someone might test positive for the coronavirus one or two days after the onset of symptoms using a rapid test, Hudson said. Now, positive results might not show up until the fourth day after symptoms start.

Trump Attorney Joe Tacopina is Out

Trump lawyer Joe Tacopina will no longer represent Defendant Trump in his criminal trial in Manhattan, according to a notice sent to the court on Monday, nor will he represent Trump in an appeal of the verdict in the lawsuit brought by E. Jean Carroll, in which Donald Trump was found liable for sexual abuse and defamation and ordered to pay $5 million.
“I withdrew on all matters,” Tacopina told ABC News.
Judge Catches Trump Holding Rally The Day He Asked to Delay Trial For Funeral Travel

On Friday, federal judge Lewis Kaplan denied Donald Trump’s attorneys request that the E. Jean Carroll defamation trial be delayed so that Donald Trump could travel on this coming Wednesday and Thursday to his mother-in-law, Amalija Knavs’, funeral. Then, on Sunday, Judge Kaplan issued a memorandum and order regarding the postponement request, providing further information regarding his denial of the request.

Prince William County admits election tally in 2020 shorted Joe Biden
A Northern Virginia county acknowledged it underreported President Joe Biden’s margin of victory over Donald Trump there in the 2020 presidential election by about 4,000 votes, the first detailed accounting of errors that came to light in 2022 as part of a criminal case.
The admission Thursday from the Prince William County Office of Elections comes a week after prosecutors from the Virginia Attorney General’s office dropped charges against the county’s former registrar, Michele White.
Counts were also off in races for the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives, though by lesser margins.
