Good evening, News Viewers, and welcome to October! It’s Pumpkin Magic time. No, not that ‘fool’s errand’ antibody test to determine immunity; we have vaccines and boosters to protect us from getting extremely sick and landing in the hospital. Plus, no one knows know what number of antibodies provide protection from covid-19. Any doctor who tells you otherwise, is a quack, kind of like Dr. Rand Paul or Dr. Oz. MAGAts will fall for pretty much anything and do everything stupid to avoid getting jabbed. I guess getting very ill, landing in the hospital, or the morgue is so much more better than rolling up a sleeve and getting jabbed.
Moral of the story: Don’t be a MAGAt or an ignorant fool; get boosted so you can enjoy fall—pumpkin magic, apples, the leaves turning beautiful colors, crisp, cool nights, hearty meals—not a freaking salad every night— and rain. Hopefully, we get lots of rain this year but, a third year of La Niña may jack that all up…again.
Speaking of apples: I just took my apple cake out of the oven about an hour ago and about ready to make a caramel sauce to pour all over it for an extra layer of YUM! Now, that screams fall! I just need Mr. G to get out of my kitchen so I can finish up my project. He’s been working on our back door frame and is now weatherizing it, I think, for the winter. Whatever he’s doing, he needs to hurry up because it would be nice to finish my cake and start dinner—linguini and clams with a side of grilled asparagus. I think that’s the longest amount of time he’s ever spent in our kitchen, seriously.
Anyway, enjoy what’s left of the weekend and be safe!
